Introducing
foto books
|
|
Now you can
create beautiful foto books with ease – all the way from beginning to end
– with foto depot!
Affordable and
easy-to-make, foto books offer the perfect solution for your digital photos. Instead
of hiding your memories, why not create your very own customized hardcover book to
share with family and friends? foto books make the perfect gift or keepsake and are a
wonderful way to preserve life’s special moments.
foto
depot’s new online service makes creating a foto book fast and simple. It takes
just a fraction of the time that it would take to create a scrapbook, plus
you’ll never again have to destroy another photo or create a mess. Using digital
photos, building a page will only take minutes. So imagine how quickly you can create
an entire book of memories.
To get started,
all you need is a computer, some digital photos and a connection to the Internet. All
the required instructions can be found online at www.fotodepot.ca.
Next, choose a theme such as a special birthday, a family vacation, graduation or
wedding. This will make it easier for you to get organized. If all of the photos you
wish to use aren’t digital, you can scan in the additional ones. For the cover,
choose from linen, faux suede or genuine leather in a variety of colours.
Your foto book
can have up to 48 pages. Each page can have a different layout showing between one and
nine photos (that means you can put over 400 photos in one book!). foto depot makes it
even easier by automatically choosing layouts for you, based on the photos that you
first select. Then you can make any changes that you wish. It’s as easy as
dragging and dropping your photos where you want them. This is a great feature that
truly makes it simple.
Once
you’ve created your pages, all that’s left is having it printed, and that
doesn’t take long – usually a week or two. You have the choice of picking
it up at your local foto source store or having it delivered to your home.
Today’s
state-of-the-art digital printing makes this all possible. Each page is printed onto
high quality gloss paper and is hardbound. The result is a professional-looking coffee
table book that can be cherished and appreciated for generations to come.

This
month we travel to Montreal
November 23rd
marks the date of the 2008 Grey Cup which will
be held at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec.
Rated as one of
the top 25 destinations in Canada by Travellers’ Choice, Montreal is known for
its cultural diversity and “joie de vivre”. With a population of
approximately two million people, there is an abundance of restaurants, shopping
districts, neighbourhoods and nightlife.
It has one of
the best public transit systems in the country. Montreal offers a large underground
city that stretches over 30 km so you never have to venture outside should the weather
be bad. It connects the downtown train and subway stations with the main entertainment
and commercial centres.
This city also
has a rich sports tradition, starting with the Montreal Canadiens, who are turning 100
this year and have won 24 Stanley Cups. Football is also a favourite with the Montreal
Alouettes playing in front of sold-out crowds.
There is a
feeling of excitement as the city is getting ready for the 2008 Grey Cup. This is the eighth time that
Montreal has hosted a Grey Cup. The Grey Cup started in 1909 when Earl Grey, the
Governor General of Canada, donated a trophy for the Rugby Football Championship of
Canada. This trophy became known as the Grey Cup. Originally, this event was only open
to teams that were registered with the Canadian Rugby Union, but since 1954 was open
to only the teams of the CFL.
